Welcome to Democratic Legislative District 20

Mission and Goals:
"Our mission is to promote the Democratic Party and its principles, ideals and candidates through fundraising, voter outreach and registration, education, and community service"
A message from LD 20 Chair, Rosemary Bolza

PROTESTS AND DEMONSTRATIONS

Activities occur every weekend and often on weekdays too. See the sign gallery for original protest signs. For details see Protests and Demonstrations page.
See What We Stand For for details on our positions on a variety of issues.

SUPPORT PIMA COUNTY SCHOOLS

Public schools have been hit hard by budget cuts. We in LD 20 are resolved to help in any way we can. At the LD 20 meeting we will collect your donations of school supplies or cash to donate to a school we will select at the next meeting. Please come with such things as paper, crayons, pencils, and other supplies. You can also donate directly to a school while saving on state taxes, through the Arizona Tax Credit program.
HOW TO GET MORE INVOLVED

See the Get Involved Page for our Good Works Plan and ways you can get more active in LD 20's work teams.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

Here is a succinct summary of rights when interrogated, from Arizona Congresswoman Yasmini (CD3) .
Everyone has constitutional rights regardless of their immigration status. If an immigration agent approaches you or your loved ones, knowledge is the best defense.
→ Ask to see a warrant. You do not need to open a door at your home or work unless they present a valid warrant signed by a judge.
→ You have the right to remain silent. You are NOT required to answer any questions.
→ Do not sign anything without contacting legal assistance or without first speaking to a lawyer.
→ Do not volunteer information or present false information. You do not need to share your immigration status or your date of birth.
